South Africa-based Zimbabwean footballer, Khama Billiat, broke down in tears during his speech at George Chigova’s funeral service
Scores of people gathered at Rufaro Stadium today to pay their last respects to the late footballer George Chigova and former Kaizer Chiefs forward Khama Billiat was also among the attendees.
George Chingova Death
George Chingova passed away last week on the 15th of November in South Africa. He was 32 years old.
The Supersport United goalkeeper who has been battling a heart condition died in his sleep at his home.
His body was repatriated from South Africa to Zimbabwe yesterday. Football fans and dignitaries came out in large numbers to welcome the body of the former Warriors and Dynamos goalkeeper, George Chigova, at Robert Gabriel Mugabe (RGM) International Airport.”
Khama Billiat Breaks Down in Tears at George Chingova’s Funeral Service
Khama Billiat flew in this morning and was part of the crowd which gathered today at Rufaro football stadium to bid farewell to the late footballer.
During the funeral service, Khama Billiat was asked to give a speech, and it was then that he got emotional.
Khama Billiat broke down into tears as he spoke about the late George Chigova and went down memory lane to the days when they used to play football together.

Khama Billiat and George Chigova shared a connection that extended beyond their time on the national team.
They began their careers together at Aces Youth Soccer Academy in Zimbabwe and continued to play side by side for the Warriors, proudly representing their country in numerous tournaments
