A BUDIRIRO woman has lost ownership of her Avondale house to the person she trusted to manage her property.

Patricia Kahlami, 51, trusted Louis Vesrimani, 75, to manage her house along Lomagundi Road.

It is worth US$780 000.

He has managing the house since October 2023.

Louis is now on the run after Patricia took the matter to the police.

Harare provincial police spokesperson, Inspector Luckmore Chakanza, confirmed the case saying Louis was facing fraud charges.

“Police are investigating a fraud case involving a house in Avondale,” said Insp Chakanza.

“Circumstances are that sometime in October 2023, the complainant employed the accused person as her manager for her ten apartments at a house in Avondale.

“The accused was responsible for collecting rentals from the tenants and then send the money to the complainant.

“The accused person later sold the apartments, without the knowledge of the complainant.

“The complainant discovered the offence when she intended to sell the apartments and went to the Deeds Office only to realise that ownership had changed.

“Total value defrauded is US$780 000,” said Insp Chakanza.
