Controversial businessman Wicknell Chivayo’s bodyguards caused a scene recently when they beat up his fans after they begged him for money.

Wicknell has been the talk of the town since last year over his car and cash-splashing spree. Despite people being suspicious of him over the Gwanda Solar Project drama, some have had a change of heart. Others even love him now and have been “simping” and grovelling on his social media posts.

Because of this newfound love that Wicknell is enjoying, his public appearances usually elicit cheers and frenzies. Weeks ago, he was in Masvingo for the Easter service at ZCC. He flew to the event with President Emmerson Mnangagwa in his Presidential helicopter.
Congregants at the service expressed glee when he appeared. The joy was more profound when he donated US$1 million to the Bishop Nehemiah Mutendi-led church.
However, recently, the fans showing him love experienced a side of him they never fathomed. Being the benevolent and devout Masowe worshipper that he is, most expect his demeanour and conduct to be a graceful reflection of his faith.
This was not to be.
Wicknell Chivayo’s Bodyguards Beat Up His Fans
The Standard reported that Wicknell was recently in Harare and later disembarked from his luxurious machine. The public spotted him and crammed to get a glimpse of him.
As they circled him, his bodyguards kept them at bay to ensure his safety. However, the fans got rowdier.
The fans blocked his way and begged him for money. The Standard added that the fans demanded that since he had created a name for himself by giving out cars, he should also bless them with money.
Wicknell Chivayo’s bodyguards were quite irked and lost their patience. They attacked and bashed the persistent fans, causing unnecessary drama and attention.
