Scott Sakupwanya to Play for His Own Club Scotland FC

Zanu PF Member of Parliament, Scott Sakupwanya (45), who is also a gold dealer, is following in the footsteps of fellow party member and legislator Innocent Benza.

Sakupwanya will play for Scotland FC, a team competing in the Northern Region Division One League, which he also owns.

Sakupwanya recently told Northern Region Times that he wants to play alongside his players to ignite inspiration within them. Scott Sakupwanya will play for Scotland FC after the club successfully registered him upon completing the necessary paperwork.

“My goal is to inspire my players to achieve great things in life. I believe we can do it and I’m excited to be part of the action. I have been involved in football before so it’s not going to be a problem,” Sakupwanya told the Northern Region Times.

Not His First Rodeo

Sakupwanya added that he is not new to the sport hence he will his transition onto the field will be smooth sailing.

“I have been involved in football before so it’s not going to be a problem,” he added.

Following Benza’s footsteps, Ssakupwanya is not just managing from the sidelines but lacing up his boots to play alongside his squad. Aged 52, Benza plays professional football for Herentals Football Club, a team he owns.

Sakupwanya will be joined on the field by former Dynamos star and Warriors captain Denver Mukamba, who recently inked a deal with the ambitious club.

Denver Mukamba’s Dispute with Dynamos

In more Denver Mukamba-related news, the midfielder has voiced his frustration with his former club, Dynamos, alleging that they failed to fulfil their contractual obligations. Despite signing a one-year deal with the Glamour Boys last season, Mukamba claims he did not receive compensation or the promised signing-on fee of US$5,000.

Mukamba accuses the football club of withholding his money.
