ARTIST STRIKES GOLD WITH A FINE PIECE

IT appears there is everything to see at Scottland’s matches — some of the leading socialites in the capital, nyau dancers, social media influencers and the latest trends in fashion.

Of course, one can see the latest brands of cars, a chance interaction with some of the leading prophets, share a seat with someone like DJ Rimo or DJ Towers or just watch a sizable chunk of the Mabvuku community having the time of their lives.

For many, it’s the football that is drawing them to come and watch this ambitious club in action.

For others, it’s the company that they like while, for some cunning entrepreneurs, an avenue of hope has been opened for them to try their luck and strike a jackpot.

Take for instance the talented artist who came to Rufaro on Friday hoping it could be the day lady luck was going to smile at him.

And, boom, it did.

He took a chance and came up with an idea to produce a drawing of Scottland owner Scott Sakupwanya.

He produced a decent piece of art.

He brought his piece into Rufaro, timing his arrival to perfection, when just about everyone was seated and consumed by how the game was unfolding on the pitch.

He caught the attention of those seated in the VVIP Section, which was his target audience, because that was where the businessman was seated.

Sakupwanya was charmed by the piece of art and bought it. It also proved to be a profitable day for the artist.
