GRAND FEAST ATTRACTS THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE

THOUSANDS of people turned up for the Castle Lager National Braai Fest 2024, despite tickets going for US$20, as Harare held the latest chapter of its meat-eating frenzy.

A huge chunk of meat was consumed even though the statistics were not immediately available to show how much meat was really eaten at Old Hararians Sports Club on Saturday.

The organisers Delta Corporation, through their flagship brand Castle Lager, began the feast in Chinhoyi at Jongwe Corner on Friday where DJ Fitsroy and DJ Gargamel took turns to entertain fans.

The entertainment in Harare was provided by Winky D, Master H, Saintfloew and South Africa dancer and singer Kamo Mphela.

The crowd could have been bigger if it wasn’t for the US$20 entry fee which some felt was way above their budget.

However, thousands still turned up for the annual feast. Winky D used the platform to register a new freestyle, chronicling his 20-year journey in the music industry.

He dubbed the unrecorded piece, Lyrical Tiki-Taka, in which he sang about fellow artists, music producers and socialites who he feels contributed to the rise of the Zimbabwean music industry.

Man-of-the-moment Master H proved his mettle with an energetic performance that left his fans asking for more.

“It’s a good thing that big corporations like Delta are having faith in young talent, it’s a good endorsement and I applaud everyone behind the event.

“The crowd was magical and I enjoyed myself on the stage,” said Master H.

Saintfloew, who was first on stage, also had a good day in the office as he executed his plan with finesse.

He picked from his latest album, ‘Trap Revafundisi,’ and some of his hit songs such as Silas Mavende, One By One, Bipolar, Ndega Handigone and Pamwe Wanga Usingade and he sent the crowd into a frenzy.

South African dancer and singer, Kamo Mphela, who was once dubbed the “Queen of Amapiano,” showcased her dancing prowess, with the help of her team of four dancers, who accompanied her from her base.

Delta Corporation will now shift their focus to the ‘Chibuku Road To Fame’ and ‘The Black Label DJ Clash’ set for the next two months.
