PROGRESS Chipfumo has ended a seven-year wait and bounced back with a new six-track album dubbed, “Hope”.

The Sounds of Motherland boss will launch his seventh album on October 18 in Harare.

Chipfumo’s manager, Junior Lukr, revealed that the group’s seven-year album drought was due to a lack of resources and financial constraints, which got worse after the coronavirus outbreak.

“We currently lack promoters and sponsors, relying on limited funds from shows,” Chipfumo said.

He said everything was in now in order for album launch.

He said Hope is an album aimed at inspiring Zimbabweans, reminding them that every problem is temporary.

“We hope this album brings encouragement and resilience to our people,” he said.

Dendera musician, Sulumani Chimbetu, and award-winning gospel singer, Dorcas Moyo, are expected to grace the event.
