CHICKEN Slice Group is banking on their newly-formed partnership with dancehall chanter, Freeman, to increase its brand visibility.

The group unveiled the musician as its brand ambassador at a ceremony in Harare yesterday.

Freeman is expected to play a key role in boosting Chicken Slice’s visibility throughout the country.

Chicken Slice’s marketing manager, Brenda Darare, told H-Metro they expect to yield significant results from the partnership.

“We are happy to announce our one-year partnership with Freeman, the HKD boss, after we began negotiating with him in August.

“Our partnership with him also coincides with his forthcoming HKD Festival, which is also a positive boost for the business.

“Freeman loves our brand and if you follow him, you might have noticed how much he frequents our outlets.

“Every day he goes to the gym and, after the gym, he makes sure he gets our farm salad, it’s one of the best in town, you should try it guys,” she said.

She added that the singer’s dedication is what influenced the partnership.

“He is among the few artists who have been consistent in releasing albums, everyone knows him for his hit song ‘Joina City,’ and he has never looked back.

“His dedication to his music is what drew us to partnering with him and if you check now he is about to drop album number 14,” she said.

Sometime in 2018, Freeman composed a promotional song for Chicken Slice, which was not released.

“We hope this is the time he will consider releasing the song and we are proud to associate our brand with his.”
