ZIMDANCEHALL chanter Freeman, music producer Simba Tags and football star Khama Billiat have been lined up for Zikomo Awards.
The awards, which are growing in popularity, have nominated the trio in their individual capacities for Best Performing Artist, Best Music Producer and Sports Personality of the Year.
Now in their fourth edition, this year’s Zikomo Awards are slated for Sandton, South Africa, on November 30.
“We are looking forward to hosting the fourth edition of the Zikomo Awards on November 30 in South Africa.
“The awards are designed to celebrate outstanding Africans who are excelling in different spheres including fashion, humanitarian, sports, music and business among other avenues.
“This year’s edition is bigger and better and a step forward to unite the continent and recognise those who are making a difference,” said Zikomo Africa public relations manager, Tinotenda Chavundura.
New kid on the block, Selgum has also been nominated for Best Upcoming Artist of The Year.
Selgum recently made a big statement after the release of his debut album – First of Season – which he described as a unique blend of various styles creating an unique African vibe.
Various artists from across the continent are set to light up the stage come November 30.
Fans have been asked to choose from Diamond Platnumz, Ayar Star, Makhadzi, Rema, Rayvanny, Fally Ipupa, Blaq Diamond and Mafikizolo and advise the organisers who they want to perform at the event.
The Zikomo Africa Awards strives to recognise excellence within African communities around the continent – with the aim to create positive change and promote unity.
Zikomo means ‘thank you’ and the awards were founded by Zambia’s Blessing Ouddar in 2020.
