AN eight-team football tourney is set to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Pan Jap Motors at Old Hararians on Saturday.
Philanthropist and businessman Brighton Ushendibaba, who is the CEO of Pan Jap Motors, will host the tournament.
His team, Pan Jap, are the defending champions.
Ushendibaba also has a stake in Simba Bhora and will use the occasion to celebrate the team’s success as champions of the domestic Premiership.
The tournament is running under the theme “Say No To Drugs.”
Hustlers 11, UZ Legends, Americans, Socco, Nato Legends, Toobs Legends, and Blue Stars, are the clubs that will battle against Pan Jap.
Zimpapers are set to play an exhibition match just before the final.
One of the event organisers, Zondai Nyaungwa, a former Dynamos goalkeeper, said:
“As the defending champions, we are ready to step onto the field and defend the title we worked so hard to win last year.
“Our team has been preparing and fine-tuning our skills and strategies to ensure that we come out on top once again.
“The excitement and anticipation is intense as we gear up to participate in the upcoming tournament.
“With seven other formidable teams set to challenge us, we are fully aware of the tough competition that lies ahead.
“The camaraderie and sportsmanship displayed during these events go a long way in fostering relationships and building a sense of community.
“It is something we have been doing over the years and we believe it works. This year marks a significant milestone for Pan Jap Motors, since its inception in 2014 it has grown and we are celebrating that.”
